We offer three types of chemical peels at Nuage. Please select which of the three you would like to know more about from the list below.
As a lone member of the Beta Hydroxy group, salicylic acid is unrivalled in how well it treats acne-prone skin.
Acne is not just for the adolescent, many adults suffer from this distressing condition. In fact many of my clients that have been treated for acne were adults.
In adults acne can almost always be traced to an imbalance hormonal problem, but stress can also be a contributing factor.
How does acne form?
It is quite simply the result of the the pore (hair follicle, see illustration below) becoming blocked by exfoliated skin cells that are never thoroughly expelled. These cells all stick together inside the pore and essentially this plug along with the sebum become a source of nutrition for the bacteria.
Solution
The good news today is that acne is treatable. Salicylic acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid that is lipid soluble, which means that it literally unclogs the pore by penetrating the sebaceous material in the follicle.
A course of six Beta Hydroxy Acid peels is recommended for acnified skin. Followed by proper home care with our Skeyndor Skin Care Range for oily, seborrhoeic and acnified skin will definitely treat acne prone skin.
